Shudan (layout/previs)

Peters work on Shudan was a revelation of how strong layout/pre-vis can be. He grasped immediately the cinematic/superhero dynamic I was after and interpreted it into striking camera work and cleverly conceived choreography.

With his comprehensive grasp of 3D animation, he can deliver this beautifully within the needs of the pipeline, schedule and budget. Critically he also has a very solid understanding of story and continuity. Even within the necessary constraints of the blocking phase there is a very well executed sense of timing and acting which shows he has a strong grasp of character animation. He is a natural communicator and works very professionally and collaboratively with the team for the good of the project.

Later on in the project, his animation of background characters and his lighting of a golden hour fight scene, indicated that he is a highly capable generalist. I would highly recommend Peter to any production, animation or live action.

Peter did some really nice shots for us. He's got an eye for strong lighting and composition and his generalist skills brought a great deal to the project. Throw in a great attitude on even the toughest of assignments and I'd be very happy to work with him again.

The Future is Wild  (storyboarding)

Peter worked with me for over a year. He is a creative VFX director, with a great depth of knowledge

of 3-D, VFX and compositing. Peter was excellent both in coming up with creative, entertaining ideas and tailoring these to the evolving stories as we scripted and storyboarded the series. He is self motivated, determined and thorough. I can highly recommend him.
